The story behind its creation…

I am Ella Kennedy; Polish by birth but a true and proud Canadian in spirit. My creative pursuits have borne me a waterfall of ideas but amongst all them, the Maple Leaf is the one that inspired and moved me the most.

It does because true to its meaning to Canada, it is more than being a part of our flag. The Maple Leaf means two things to me, it distinguishes us uniquely from the rest of the world, but most importantly, it unifies all of us here in the cultural mosaic that Canada is known for.

Maple Leaf inspires me because I see in it a distinct marriage of country and individuality, of simplicity and sophistication.

My travels around the country and my interaction w/ fellow Canadians and tourists alike has allowed me to craft a vision for this country that has so willingly accepted me as part of Canada and at the same time permitted me to keep my individuality.

My vision is to create a line of products, with my Maple Leaf Collection, a range of products made by proud Canadians on Canadian soil. I have seen many Maple Leaf inspired products but very few are truly Canadian. Each of my products bearing the Maple Leaf has the soul of a Canadian marked on it.

I hope that my Maple Leaf Collection may be a part of your desire to keep, collect and share Canadian Maple Leaf spirit.
